You would have to be one of my favorite teachers that I've ever had. You're teaching style throughout the year has always spoken to me in a way that nobody else has been able to. The analysis of the Torah and the discussions we had in class had the ability to open me up to a completely new mindset of seeing the world. I wished that I could've made many more classes throughout the year, and I'm sure that was a bummer for you too. However, the ones that I did manage to get to always had me leaving happy, even if I was tired going into the lesson. I will keep your teachings with me and remind myself of them with every milestone. It has truly been a great opportunity. -Ethan, 7th grade student
"One of Charna's many gifts is that she has the twin capacities to channel the Heavens and hold a crowd at the same time. She worked with us to iron out every detail of our wedding ceremony -- down to placing markers on the floor to make sure everyone knew where to stand -- and facilitated an experience that was deep, magical, and a whole lot of fun." - Yael Goldfeder - for her wedding
“I have had the pleasure of taking classes from Charna for many years. Her teaching style has depth and helps everyone feel accepted and included.” - Sharon
"Before I started to learn with Charna, I knew next to nothing about Torah. What a blessing to find her! She is a true lover of Torah, passionately embracing it, dancing with its mysteries, wrestling with its seeming contradictions, plumbing its language, ever delving for more, and inviting us to share her ecstatic and wisdom-laden relationship to it. After learning with her, I felt grounded in the weekly parsha, confident to enter into discussions about Torah, and grateful to have been introduced to the transformational power of sacred-text study." - Deborah
“I studied Kabbalah with Charna. As a teacher, she made Jewish mysteries understandable and accessible. She has a gift for the practical; she showed how our ancient teachings can be incorporated into our daily lives. Plus, Charna is real, funny and a warm and welcoming person who insures everyone has an opportunity to participate in her class. I also know Charna as the person who prepared our two daughters for their jointly-led Bat Mitzvah. She not only made sure they learned what they needed to be knowledgeable of Torah and the prayers, she made those sessions fun and interesting; our daughters would laugh and enjoyed the learning. On top of that, Charna served in the role of “Rabbi” for the service — and it was a magnificent Shabbat morning experience for all.” - Neshama Pais
"Charna Rosenholtz is a treasure! She is a gifted teacher and storyteller who weaves often impenetrable mysticism into accessible teachings for all levels and backgrounds. Her Torah study and Kabbalah classes are a testament to her commitment to building bridges. She reaches across the table to ensure every voice- regardless of religious or political background, age or gender- is heard and then incorporates these perspectives into the weekly teaching. That she does this at all is remarkable, but she speaks charismatically, poetically and with such heart that her students catch the Divine spark and shine it into daily life. Charna is an intuitive channel who has lined her shamanic background with the teachings of our ancestors and our rabbis and created a community of kindness, wisdom and constant curiosity. She continues to inspire me to dig deeper, reach higher and open my heart. I am deeply grateful to learn from her." - Karin Susskind, MD
"Charna is a brilliant interpreter of Torah knowledge. Learning sessions are non-threatening and inclusive. Charna magically accommodates the neophyte and the experienced participants in a way that that creates a rich atmosphere of mutuality. Knowledge of Hebrew is not necessary. Charna helps us to connect our discussions to both the metaphysical realms and to Torah’s relevance to our daily lives. Her personal spiritual journey and her empathic understanding deepen the group experience She is well read in areas of religion, philosophy, science, and current events. Each week creates a tapestry defined by both it’s depth and breadth. " - Frank Guerra, MD, DLFAPA, FACA
"Charna is an intelligent, loving, capable and compassionate guide through the mysteries of life. I come away from every interaction with her more educated, more uplifted, more inspired. A wise and wonderful being, for sure." - Sharon Harvey Alexander, C-IAYT
"I’ve got a strong vibe that any class you take with Charna will be light filled, lively class. Charna R is terrific to learn with, as I’ve found in her Torah Study sessions and hevruta-ing with her for Storahtelling. Lots of smiles and laughs while seriously furthering revelation of the ancient/modern Torah, right here, right now, today. Charna grounds her teaching in classical Jewish texts, mega-prepares her lessons, and gracefully opens students’ learning channel with warmth and humility. She’ll provide able guidance to safely explore Kabalah [sp?]. Sign up for this one." - Bruce Shaffer
